Writers of the Week - Shkoder!
This week we want to celebrate the incredibly talented students of Shkoder. Even though this is the first year for Shkoder to compete at the high school level, they are already displaying amazing creative writing skills in their weekly Write On! Group meetings. And they are taking this competition seriously! They even have a secret handshake for members only. If that's not serious creative minds at work, I don't know what is!
They have been doing a combination of writing and conversational activities including the word jumble from the activity packet in which each student picks a number that represents a character, a setting, and a challenge to create a theme for a story. Here are some examples of their work.
A high school graduate in a shopping mall after a fight who feels like giving up

Life for him was boring after he graduated. He was sick with his ordinary life and he decided to go to the shopping mall. At the mall he saw two guys fighting so hard and he wanted to help the guy who was right and he entered in hospital. His life seemed so bored for him and he was feeling like wanted to give up in society life and go live in a tree house.
A photographer in a shopping mall, late at night when something embarrassing happened

The photographer went tot he mall to get some photos from the latest clothes collection and someone just came in that moment and ruined all the mannequins and got covered from the cameras. The photographers made some photoshooting and left because that person ruined everything. But he made his purpose cause the photos were so artistic and the person for some photos even he wasn't thinking the photographer would be there.

The life, sometimes it sucks especially after a fight that cost him a tooth. Fortunately the seen one. He was making a picture to a squirrel and an old man punched in his the face because the photographer was taking a picture of his tree. Even though the photographer was not part of his land. So he was not standing on his land. The photographer called for help from the neighbors and while he was standing at the porch of an old farm he tried to remember why he chose photography, a miserable job, but the only thing on his mind was the ache by the fight.
