About WriteOn! Albania
WriteOn! is an annual creative writing competition organized by Peace Corps volunteers. Albania's branch of WriteOn! was founded in 2011. After a brief pause due to the pandemic, WriteOn! restarted in 2024. Across Albania, Peace Corps volunteers and their communities participate and grow their creativity and English writing skills.

When does the competition take place?
The competition typically takes place January - February. Our upcoming competition will atke place January 7 - February 28, 2026.

How do I get involved?
Email us your name, grade level (if applicable), and city of residence. We will put you in contact with your nearest volunteer so that you can participate.

Who can participate?
The competition is open to all 6th through 12th grade students living in Albania.

How much does it cost?
WriteOn! is free!

What are the requirements to participate?
There are two requirements. First, you must be an Albanian student in 6th - 12th grade. Second, you must write in English.

What do winners win?
Each grade level has a 1st, 2nd, and 3d place. Each winner earns a certificate and a prize from one of our sponsors. Additionally, some winners will advance to the WriteOn! International judging. ​
